The CEE Taylor Rule Research Dashboard is an automated, empirical benchmarking tool designed to track, decompose, and evaluate monetary policy rates across the four major inflation-targeting economies of Central Europe: Poland (NBP), Czechia (CNB), Hungary (MNB), and Romania (BNR). The application serves two primary purposes: 1) Provide an Objective Benchmark for Monetary Policy: Measure whether official central bank policy rates are restrictive, accommodative, or neutral relative to empirical Taylor rules and forward projections. 2) Enable Real-Time Policy Counterfactuals: Allow researchers, analysts, and students to interactively test alternative policy rules, reaction elasticities, and neutral real rate assumptions without running specialized statistical software.
